Basic Winterization Shield

Essential winter protection to get your truck ready for cold weather.
Full Package Details

• Coolant freeze-point test/Protection level (level adjustment will incur an additional charge)
• Heater and defroster check and operational check
• Battery test
• Inspect belts and hoses
• Replace wiper blades with winter or snow wiper blades (standard “J”-Hook blades, specialty blades will incur additional charges)
• Top-off washer fluid with winter-grade minus 20
• Drain air tanks
• Inspect air drier operation
• Inspect tires for tread wear (25 percent wear or less is not good in snow) and set cold-weather PSI
• Inspect exterior lights and light cord connections

Includes the Basic Shield plus full system winter protection.
Full Package Details

Includes Basic Shield plus the following:
· Add diesel anti-gel treatment (given to driver or added at time of service)
· Replace fuel-water separator
· Replace fuel filter or filters
· Inspect and secure brake lines (for hanging hoses or wires that may be pulled apart by ice or snow)
· Inspect exhaust and DPF system (leaks, loose wires or hoses)
· Inspect cab door seals
· Inspect tires for tread wear (25 percent wear or less is not good in snow driving) and set cold-weather PSI
· Electrical system corrosion check (at starter, alternator, and grounds or frame)
· Test engine thermostat operation
· Inspect air drier operation and replace drier filter or cartridge (only applicable to spin-on filters; others incur additional charges)
